over 40 km of various ski slopes neighbouring 12 hotels and 4 villa camps, only 73 km away from Sofia. The ski season continues from November through May and the snow cover is over 1.5 meters

Situated at 1350m above sea level on the northern slopes of Rila Mountain among age-old pine woods, BOROVETS is located at the foot of peak Moussala (2925m) - the highest one on the Balkan Peninsula. Borovets is easily accessible, being at a distance of 73km from Sofia and 126km from Plovdiv. The town of Samokov is only 10km down the road from the resort.

Established at the end of 19th century as a hunting place for the Bulgarian tzars, Borovets gradually developed into a modern ski resort of high class and luxury hotels, haute-cuisine restaurants and varied leisure-time entertainment opportunities besides an excellent network of ski runs and lifts along the slopes of the Rila Mountain.

BOROVETS is the Alpine resort among Bulgarian winter resorts, providing excellent opportunities for the whole range of winter sports - from the Alpine sports to cross-country skiing, ski-jumps and biathlon.
