The resort area 'Uzana' (22 km from Gabrovo) and the recreation area
'Lulyatsite' (15 km) offer good opportunities for tourism and winter
sports. The locality of Uzana is the only place in the central part
of the Balkans where favourable conditions for ski-tourism exist. Its
development as a mountain resort of local and regional significance
has been included in the regional development plan and is supported
by the Regional Governor and the Mayor of Gabrovo.
